Kelowna - August 26, 2013 - The Kelowna Rockets will open its main training camp on Monday as team veterans will undergo fitness testing on Monday morning before on-ice sessions begin on Tuesday.

Players will be split into three teams at the Rockets main training camp, a mix of veterans and newcomers, including several of the team's youngest prospects, invited to main camp at the conclusion of the Rockets rookie camp on Sunday.

After fitness testing on Monday players will hit the ice at Prospera Place twice a day from Tuesday until Thursday when camp breaks and the team practices in advance of the Western Hockey League exhibition schedule which kicks off this weekend.

The Rockets will host the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night and travel to Vancouver to play the Giants on Saturday as part of a four game exhibition schedule.

Kelowna will also play a home exhibition on Sept. 7 and tickets for both the home games are available at Select Your Tickets with $2 from each ticket going to the Cops for Kids organization.
