Peteborough Petes swing deal to acquire McKinnon from Saginaw
Peterborough Petes GM Michael Oke announced today the acquisition of defenceman Rylee McKinnon from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a conditional 15th round draft pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. McKinnon, a 17-year old native of Whitby played in 52 games for the Peterborough Petes’ affiliate Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL during the 2012-2013 season.

Peterborough - August 27, 2013 - Peterborough Petes GM Michael Oke announced today the acquisition of defenceman Rylee McKinnon from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a conditional 15th round draft pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.

McKinnon, a 17-year old native of Whitby played in 52 games for the Peterborough Petes’ affiliate Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL during the 2012-2013 season, recording 6 points and 64 penalty minutes. The 6’0”, 163 pound defenceman was drafted 257th overall by the Saginaw Spirit in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
