Belleville - August 31, 2013 - Belleville Bulls Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett announced Saturday that the club has signed 2013 fourth round selection Adam Laishram and 2012 seventh round pick Andrew Ming to OHL Standard Players Agreements.

Laishram was the 78th player selection in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection and spent last season with the Whitby Wildcats Minor Midgets, playing alongside Bulls first round pick Justin Lemcke. The native of Ashburn had 14 goals and 19 assists in 35 games last season.

Laishram also competed in the 2013 OHL Gold Cup at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. He was third in scoring for OMHA Team White, tallying a goal and five assists in six games. Laishram will be participating in the final Ontario Under 17 Program Evaluation Camp in Oshawa from August 14-18th alongside five other Bulls prospects.

"Adam has impressed us with his speed, skill and vision," said Burnett. "He competes hard out there every single shift and knows how to use his creativity to his advantage."

Joining Laishram in signing on the dotted line out of Training Camp this weekend is Cornwall native Andrew Ming. The younger brother of Kitchener Rangers forward Eric Ming, Andrew's hard nosed game impressed Bulls scouts and coaching staff throughout this past season and into Training Camp.

Ming comes off a year of seasoning with the Cornwall Colts Jr. A program where he put up 4 goals and 21 assists in 55 games as a 16 year-old.

"There has been a lot of improvement in Andrew's game over the last season," said Burnett. "After a year in Tier II he has come back to our camp bigger, stronger and has made improvements to his skating. We're looking forward to seeing both of these young men out on the ice in our preseason games."

The preseason roster was trimmed down to 28 on Saturday afternoon as defencemen Daniel Barnes and Jacob Panetta were reassigned to their respective clubs. The Bulls carry 17 forwards, 9 defencemen and 2 goaltenders into preseason play.

The Bulls begin their preseason schedule on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm when the Peterborough Petes visit the Yardmen Arena. Tickets are general admission for $10 each. The Bulls box office will open Sunday at 10:00am.
