Rockets cruise past Blazers with 4-0 victory
Three point nights from Rourke Chartier and Mackenzie Johnston, coupled with a twenty-six save performance from netminder Jordon Cooke, proved to be much for the Kamloops Blazers too handle, as the Kelowna Rockets bounced their provincial rivals by a score of 4-0 in Friday night WHL pre-season action.

Kelowna - September 7, 2013 - The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 4-0 Friday night in Kamloops, improving to 2-and-1 in the Western Hockey League preseason.

Jordon Cooke played the entire game for Kelowna, stopping 26 Kamloops shots to record the victory while the Rockets fired 40 shots in Kamloops' direction.

Centre Rourke Chartier had a goal and two assists, Tyson Baillie scored twice and MacKenzie Johnston had three assists to lead the Rockets' attack. Rookie Justin Kirkland also scored for the Rockets.

Kelowna returns home for its final game of the preseason on Saturday, hosting the Vancouver Giants in another Cops for Kids fundraiser at Prospera Place.

Two dollars per ticket will be donated to Cops for Kids.
