Windsor - September 3, 2014 - General Manager Warren Rychel is pleased to announce the club has acquired overager Slater Doggett from the Kingston Frontenacs in return for London's 12th Round Pick in 2015.

A 6'0, 190-pound native of Burlington, ON, Doggett played two seasons with the Frontenacs, recording 10 goals and 32 assists, along with 84 PIM in 125 regular season games played.

“It's nice to acquire a versatile player like Slater,” Rychel said. “He played primarily defence with Kingston last year, but he has also played left wing in the past, so he's a good veteran option for us at a few positions. He will add leadership and experience to the club.”

Doggett is expected to report to the Spitfires tomorrow, but is not expected to dress for the club's pre-season home opener against Plymouth.
