Pittsburgh - Mar. 13, 2019: Evgeni Malkin reached 1,000 NHL points with two assists for the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 5-3 win against the Washington Capitals at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday. The 32-year-old center has 391 goals and 609 assists in 848 games with the Penguins, who selected him with the No. 2 pick in the 2004 NHL Draft. He is the 88th player in NHL history to reach 1,000 points, the first since Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin on Nov. 30, 2017. FULL STORY

Washington - Mar. 1, 2015: The Washington Capitals have acquired forward Curtis Glencross from the Calgary Flames for a second- and third-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. Tampa Bay - Dec. 14, 2014: As a whole, the Tampa Bay Lightning didn’t play a bad game against the Washington Capitals. For the most part, they limited Washington’s scoring chances (something they hadn’t done in either of the first two meetings between the clubs). Their penalty killing was suburb, as they erased four Washington power plays. The Caps power play entered the game with the best percentage in the league, but the Bolts kept them off the board – and even generated some shorthanded looks. FULL STORY
