New York - Mar. 2, 2015: Glen Sather was a busy man on Sunday afternoon, as the New Rangers general manager orchestrated three separate deals on the eve of the NHL Trade Deadline. After acquiring defenceman Keith Yandle from the Arizona Coyotes earlier in the day, Sather also picked up forwards James Sheppard and Carl Klingberg in deals wit the San Jose Sharks and Winnipeg Jets. Windsor - Feb. 11, 2015: In their first game since the 5-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers, the Toronto Maple Leafs hosted the New York Rangers Tuesday night. It was made obvious early that the Rangers would give the Leafs problems, as they scored two early goals and forced the Buds to play catch-up for the remainder of the game. Edmonton - Dec. 15, 2014: For all the bitching and moaning we have heard about the Edmonton Oilers unwillingness to play the game the “right way” over the last couple of years, this group’s inability to put pucks into the back of the opposing team’s net remains its biggest problem. After being blanked 2-0 by the New York Rangers on Sunday night, the Oilers have now been shutout 14 times and scored two or fewer goals in 69 of the 113 games since Dallas Eakins took over as head coach.
