Edmonton - Nov. 22, 2014: There is no question fans of the Edmonton Oilers have every right to be pissed with how things have gone to start the 2014-15 NHL campaign. After suffering through eight consecutive seasons with no playoffs and coming off a year that was arguably the most disappointing of all, sitting with a 6-12-2 mark at the quarter pole is simply unacceptable. With that being the case, the anger Oilers fans have shown towards this team is understandable but at the end of the day, it comes down realistic expectations. FULL STORY

Edmonton - Feb. 8, 2014: Despite Friday night's 2-1 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils, it finally appears as though the Edmonton Oilers have started to turn the corner. Losing in OT is never fun but doing so on what was an obvious blown call against makes it even tougher to stomach. That said, Dallas Eakins' crew has finally started to show the willingness to do whatever is necessary to start winning hockey games. FULL STORY

After finally coming to the realization that not such trade was forthcoming, Gillis finally came to senses and moved Cory Schneider instead.
