Edmonton - Oct. 8, 2013: On the strength of a four goal 3rd period outburst and a pair of slick shootout goals from Jordan Eberle and David Perron, the Edmonton Oilers comeback from a three goal deficit to get past the New Jersey Devils 5-4 in a shootout. Newark - Aug. 26, 2013: The New Jersey Devils have an important piece of their future back in the fold with the announcement Monday that restricted free agent Adam Henrique has signed a new multi-year contract. Edmonton - Aug. 23, 2013: For well over a year, Vancouver Canucks GM Mike Gillis was convinced he would be able to move veteran netminder Roberto Luongo in an actual hockey trade. After finally coming to the realization that not such trade was forthcoming, Gillis finally came to senses and moved Cory Schneider instead. Back in March, Canucks Sports and Entertainment bought out the Peoria Rivermen and was looking to move a farm team for Vancouver closer to home. But Wendel Clark said the Maple Leafs' newly signed 29-year-old forward is already a better player. Clarkson has ruled out wearing No. 17. Clark's old jersey is one of 10 listed as "honored numbers" by the Maple Leafs, who no longer retire uniform numbers.

Toronto - Jul. 5, 2013: Center Tyler Bozak is staying in Toronto and right wing David Clarkson is leaving New Jersey to join him. TSN is reporting that the Toronto Maple Leafs have agreed to terms with Clarkson on a seven-year contract and Bozak has re-signed with them for five years and $21 million. FULL STORY
