Stoney Point - Dec. 6, 2014: The Toronto Maple Leafs are now 11-0 when they score first. Tonight, they got on the board first and that paced them to a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. Goaltender Jonathan Bernier made his eight consecutive start and it was likely his best game of the season. Bernier made 44 saves as he paced the Buds to their 14th win of the season. FULL STORY

Washington - Dec. 2, 2014: The Vancouver Canucks have been very good at bouncing back from losses this season. They have lost two in a row once, in their fourth and fifth games. Preparing for the Washington Capitals on Tuesday after a loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, Vancouver coach Willie Desjardins promised a stronger performance from the Canucks. FULL STORY

Edmonton - Nov. 30, 2014: One cannot help but wonder if there are days that Craig MacTavish sits around and ponders what might have been, had he only been willing to part ways with the seventh overall pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Hindsight is wonderful thing but something tells me if the Oilers GM could do it all over again, he would not think twice about making the deal that should have landed the organization former Vancouver Canucks goaltender Cory Schneider. Edmonton - Nov. 20, 2014: With the Edmonton Oilers in the midst of what is starting to look like another tough season for both the team and their fans, one has to wonder if general manager Craig MacTavish is seriously regretting his decision to sign defenceman Nikita Nikitin to a two year $9 million deal in the summer. Edmonton - Nov. 2, 2014: As far as an evening of hockey goes, Saturday was one that both the Edmonton Oilers and their fans would love to forget. As if dropping a third consecutive decision to the Vancouver Canucks in their first eleven outings of 2014-15 wasn’t already bad enough, the Oilers managed to also lose the services of Taylor Hall during yesterday’s 3-2 loss at Rexall Place. Edmonton - Oct. 18, 2014: While the Edmonton Oilers may have played better in falling 2-0 to the Vancouver Canucks on Friday evening at Rexall Place, this team's inability to score goals continues to plague them on a nightly basis. Since Dallas Eakins has taken over the club, they have scored two goals or fewer in fifty-one of eighty-seven games and won exactly three of those games. With that being the case, one would think, the time to address the issue would be the here and now. FULL STORY

Edmonton - Oct. 17, 2014: With their season hanging in the balance, the Edmonton Oilers will kick-off a seven game homestand against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night at Rexall Place. If by some chance, Dallas Eakins' squad cannot come out of this stretch will at minimum a .500 record, they can basically kiss this season good-bye and start preparing for another lottery pick at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Edmonton - Oct. 12, 2014: To steal a quote from New York Yankees legend Yogi Berra, the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks sure felt like "deja vu all over again". Despite jumping out to an early lead, Dallas Eakins' crew still found a way to blow three different two goal advantages and were frankly lucky to even get this one into overtime. While on paper this group may be improved, clearly closing out hockey games continues to be major problem. FULL STORY

Edmonton - Oct. 5, 2014: Ben Scrivens delivered what was by far and away his worst performance of the pre-season in the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks in Sunday night pre-season action. While both Scrivens and Viktor Fasth will likely get their chance at proving they are capable of being a No. 1 goalie, last night's misstep will force Dallas Eakins into making a decision as to who he will turn to in Thursday's season opener against the Calgary Flames. Vancouver - Sep. 24, 2014: The Vancouver Canucks have a need for secondary scoring and youngster Linden Vey was one of the off-season acquisitions made by Jim Benning with the hopes the young forward can take the next step towards an NHL career. In the first preseason game of 2014-15 for Vancouver, Vey was able to score one goal and add two assists, a good start for the young player. FULL STORY

Vancouver - Sep. 10, 2014: The Vancouver Canucks once had one of the best goaltending duos in the league with Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider, unfortunately mismanagement of assets has led to a less impressive duo in the form of Ryan Miller and Eddie Lack. There is hope in net, but the mismanagement of the situation is a black eye that won't soon be forgotten. FULL STORY

Vancouver - Sep. 6, 2014: The Vancouver Canucks need one of Alex Burrows or Zack Kassian to have a fantastic season in order to solidify the top 6 offence for the Canucks in 2014-15 and not rush the young up and coming prospects into positions of failure. FULL STORY
