Columbus - Oct. 21, 2015: John Tortorella was named the new coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday after the club fired Todd Richards, according to a report by Darren Dreger of TSN.
The Blue Jackets are 0-7-0 after losing 4-0 at home to the New York Islanders on Tuesday.
Windsor - Apr. 9, 2015: The Toronto Maple Leafs played their 81st game of the season Wednesday night; a roadie in Columbus. The match featured two teams that won’t be in the playoffs this year, but for different reasons. The Blue Jackets were hit hard by injuries, and lost over 500 man games because of them. The Leafs? Toronto - Feb. 26, 2015: The Toronto Maple Leafs have made another trade. Today the NHL club sent forward David Clarkson to the Columbus Blue Jackets, in exchange for Nathan Horton. Horton, 29, has not skated this season due injury (back). Columbus - Dec. 14, 2014: The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Jeremy Morin from the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman Tim Erixon.
Morin, a healthy scratch the past 11 games, had 28 shots on goal and 15 penalty minutes in 15 games for the Blackhawks this season. A second-round pick (No. 45) of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2009 NHL Draft, Morin has eight goals and 16 points in 54 NHL games. Pittsburgh - Dec. 12, 2014: Sidney Crosby will be held out of the Pittsburgh Penguins' next two games as a precautionary measure, Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford said today. Tampa - Dec. 7, 2014: Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky didn't face nearly as many shots Saturday as he did two nights earlier, but the result was the same.

Sunrise - Dec. 4, 2014: The Columbus Blue Jackets squandered a three-goal lead Thursday, but that didn't prevent them from defeating the Florida Panthers again.
